Toluca, meaning “the place where Tollo, the god, lives,” is the capital and the fifth-largest city of the State of Mexico in Mexico. Founded in 1530, it is one of the well-known cities in Mexico. Toluca Volcano National Park is a must-see attraction in Toluca, located in the southwest of the city. It is managed by the State of Mexico and was established on January 25, 1936, covering an area of 468 square kilometers. The park offers beautiful natural scenery and a variety of recreational activities for visitors, such as hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and skiing.
