Los Cardones National Park is located in the central-western part of Salta Province, Argentina, named after the plant landscape in the park. Established in 1995, it covers an area of 650 square kilometers, consisting of vast mountain ranges, ravines, and canyons with altitudes ranging from 2700 to 5000 meters, where a large variety of giant cacti thrive.

The national park boasts unique and breathtaking landscapes, including endless grasslands, deep river valleys, lush forests, and Argentina’s largest cacti. The tropical arid climate adds to its charm, with the towering cacti stealing the show. These majestic cacti stand tall in the dry land, showcasing their beauty in various forms – some resembling human fingers, some like kneeling figures, and some like intimate lovers, all of which are awe-inspiring. The park is also a habitat for 100 bird species, with the Andean condor being one of the most prominent characters.

Due to its geographical diversity, Los Cardones National Park offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors, such as horseback riding, photography, bird watching, hiking, and camping.
